Harriet Tebbetts is an artist and an arts educator, orginally from Essex England based in New york, with a BA in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins. She works across a variety of media to use formal connections in color, light, and form to map the specifics of the every day and the sensations of memory. Wherein painting, sculpture, photography, and drawings, become living things that are placed in conversation with each other taking the shape of large tactile wall works. Like an constellation of documentation. Archiving and collecting. The works show an ephemeral quality in their cheap materials, torn edges, and un-stretched canvas, played against confident mark making, and illuminations of natural photographic compositions.
